Five Stat Friday: Opening Week Edition

2. The San Diego Padres were on the wrong side of history this week. They became the first team in major league history to get shutout in their first three games of the season. Not exactly how you want to start your year off. On the other side of this, the Los Angeles Dodgers — obviously — became the first team ever to record three consecutive shutouts to start a season. It remains to be seen if the Dodgers pitching is that good or if the Padres offense is that bad. I am inclined to go with the latter.
