Five Stat Friday: Week Two

1.The Minnesota Twins and Atlanta Braves are not off to great starts this season. And that is being nice. Both teams have failed to record a win this season and sit at 0-9. It is early in the season, but both the Twins and Braves are already staring at deep holes. They are the 11th and 12th teams to start a season 0-9 since 1918. 1988 was the only other season in baseball history that two teams started 0-9 in the same season (it was the Orioles and Braves that season). While it is still early, none of the previous ten teams that started 0-9 came close to finishing with a winning record. It could be a long season in both Minnesota and Atlanta.
