3. The Chicago Cubs are also off to a great start to their season. Their record sits at 12-4 through sixteen games. The last time they started a season 12-4 was in 1970. Their +/- through fifteen games is +60, which is their best mark since 1880 (!). They won the pennant that year. The Cubs and their fans can only hope that they have similar results this season. Oh, and Jake Arrieta just threw his second career no-hitter. With only nine starts between no-nos, Arrieta ranks third behind Johnny Vander Meer (0) and Warren Spahn (5) threw no-hitters closer together. The 16-0 beatdown of the Cincinnati Reds was also the most lopsided no-no since 1884.
