Fun With Small Sample Sizes: The Miami Marlins Best and Worst of 2016

The 2016 Miami Marlins have played 17 games so far, taking a disappointing 6-11 record into Los Angeles for a four game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. With not even a month of baseball played, it is not yet time for the sky to fall on the heads of Marlins fans, but it’s been a rough 17 games for sure. Small sample size overreactions run rampant throughout baseball in the month of April. Remember Colorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story at the very beginning of the season? Notice how you haven’t heard much about him since then? The Marlins also have a few cases of small sample size surprises.
