Best Offensive Player:
Christian Yelich, LF

Christian Yelich has started the season off hot, slashing .379/.507/.552 with 10 runs scored, 7 RBI, and more walks than strikeouts. He’s an excellent hitter and is capable of keeping up some lofty numbers, but his .457 BABIP is sure to come down. Yelich is a great player, but he’s not quite this great. It should still be fun to watch him play under the tutelage of hitting coach Barry Bonds. Both Fangraphs and Baseball-Reference agree that Yelich has been the best Marlin on offense. He has earned a 7.2 in Fangraphs’ Off category, and a 0.9 oWAR on Baseball Reference. Both sites agree on his total WAR of 0.9 so far.
