Giancarlo Stanton has always been known for his bat more than his glove, but he’s been a fairly decent fielder more often than not as well. This season, he’s been struggling with the bat and he’s been struggling with the glove. Fangraphs places him at -2.9 Def and Baseball Reference has him at -0.4 dWAR, both at the bottom of the list of Marlins. Stanton seems to be off his game in general so far this season, as he has yet to look like himself at the plate or in the field. A good game on Sunday in San Francisco has given the team and its fans hope that Giancarlo is ready to break out soon.
