Chicago Cubs – Jorge Soler, OF, .185/.276/.292, 2 home runs, 6 RBIs
Not much has gone wrong for the Chicago Cubs this year. The offense has been potent, the pitching has been untouchable and they are one of the best teams in baseball. Every sunny day has its clouds though, and the down spot for the Cubs this year is young outfielder Jorge Soler.
Soler was viewed as a likely platoon player entering the year, but when Kyle Schwarber went down he returned to being an everyday starter. It’s been a struggle for the big righty to get going and yet the Cubs are still dominant. Think about what they can do with a hotter Soler, and the result is scary.
