2. The King now has a stranglehold on the franchise record books.

In the last week of April, Felix passed Randy Johnson for the Mariners’ franchise record for strikeouts. It was his 2,163rd career erasure of a batter — he now sits at 2,175 after last night — via the ‘K.’

Jamie Moyer was next in Felix’s sights. Moyer had long held the Mariners’ career wins record with 145. Hernandez had a shot last Wednesday, but some defensive miscues (his own included) and a see-saw game left him hanging. With a sharper performance from Felix and a tighter team game overall last night, the King ascended to sole possession of first place on the wins list with 146.
