Chicago White Sox

Record: 2-4

Weekly Recap:

The White Sox had a losing week for the first time in a while. They went to Globe Life Park to take on the Texas Rangers and dropped two of three there. They then traveled up to New York to take on the New York Yankees and dropped two out of three again. They were simply out-hit this week.

Stud of the Week: Todd Frazier

The ToddFather has arrived, ladies and gentleman. The slugging third baseman ripped a sizzling .333/.524/.733 line for the week with two home runs and five RBIs. He’s flashing the power that made the White Sox want to go grab him in the first place and is on his usual early-season tear.

Dud of the Week: Carlos Rodon

It’s time to push the panic button on Rodon. The young lefty got lit up again in his latest start against the Rangers where they got to him for 12 hits, six earned runs, two walks, and two home runs. The southpaw did record seven strikeouts but left the ball up in the zone again and paid for it against the free-swinging Rangers. He has had trouble with his control all season and it’s starting to become a huge problem, as the only way for the White Sox to maintain control of the AL Central is if all of their front three starters pitch like aces throughout the season.
