2. CC Sabathia was written off as a has-been heading into the 2016 season. There is no denying that he was bad last season. Really bad. And people, especially sport fans, have short-term memories. I would be lying if I said I was not surprised by how good Sabathia has been this season. He missed time due to injury and, thus, does not have quite enough innings to qualify for the ERA title, but if he did his ERA would rank 14th best in baseball and fourth in the American League. A lot of people are surprised, but Sabathia probably is not one of them. He knows how great of a pitcher he is. You just have to look at one statistic: Sabathia’s career fWAR of 62.4 ranks 41st all-time among pitchers. Do not sleep on the big man.
